109 Pentney Lakes Reviews

Suzanne
We returned from 109 Pentney Lakes yesterday, having spent a fortnight there. The lodge was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, especially the bed. Everything was provided for an enjoyable holiday. We found the sofa rather low, but maybe only because we are oldies! The wifi was excellent. Geoff and Sharon were very friendly and helpful. They live nearby, and when we had a couple of little problems these were put right straight away by Geoff. We would not hesitate to book the lodge again.
Just back from a relaxing stay at Pentney Lakes. The property was very clean with everything you could require. A special thanks to the owners for giving extra directions on the day after many road diversions en route left us all disoriented. Top tip if you find your sat nav has taken you to the main gates with a large blue Pentney Lake sign in front of you take the narrow road to your left, keep left at the bend. Turn left at the water ski school sign the caravan is 2 left.

Lovely property , very clean and maintained everything needed for a wonderful stay in Norfolk . Lodge is very isolated if you want peace and relaxation . Can recommend bar on site lovely food very good price . Only recommendation would be slip mat in shower as it was quite slippery .
Great little stay, very peaceful and relaxing by the lake. Everything you needed and was very pleasant. Comfy bed and sofa and nice big fridge.
William
A lovely place. Location is very quiet and just what I like. Everything you need in caravan. So clean. The bed is so comfortable. This is my second visit here. Would stay again. Well done to the owners.
It was more than we expected. We were early but the owner kindly let us in. The property was spotless and the view over the lake was so unexpected. We watched waterskiing from our balcony. The club house a short walk at the side of the lake has excellent meals.
Great place for a peaceful break. Very helpful freindly owner . Nice walks around the lakes. good restaurant 5 minutes walk away. Highly recommended a visit.
A great stay in a very relaxing location. This is my second time staying at 109, lovely lodge, very nicely decorated and had everything I needed. It was a very nice surprise to be welcomed with wine and chocolate too, thank you! Definitely hope to stay again.
Had a fantastic stay, very quiet & peaceful everything you need for a relaxing break. Jeff & Sharon are very friendly & caring. 109 has everything you need, so warm, clean & the linen & towels smell so lovely Thank you Hope to come back.

Lovely Caravan Bed amazing with good sleep Great quite place Plus local to ... Lovely Caravan Bed amazing with good sleep Great quite place Plus local to where I was working for week Will be back Only one thing missing was the fire in the lounge as the photos show
Directions to the property are terrible, took 20 mins to find it. No booklet to give you any help on the area and instructions for example,on how to use gas oven etc.Misrepresentation of the property, no gas fire as in the description of property and completely different look to the photos, ie furniture 2 chairs which couldnt see the Tv at all.. Very noisy with passing traffic, not sure about a holiday park? Most seemed permanent and went to work obviously causing noise in a morning. Dirty stained plastic dishes in cupboard. This is not a lodge, it is a caravan,we booked through Sykes last year at Egton near Whitby and that was a superb lodge, what a let down this has been at Pentney lakes
If looking for a quiet comfortable place to stay this is it. .... apart from the occasional water skier that is but this adds to the feeling of being on holiday. I would however suggest that any mention of 6 people should be omitted. Even 4 adults may find it a bit cramped but this is a suggestion only and does not detract from the overall enjoyment to be had.

109 is a lovely chalet by the lake. Very bright and clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed to have a relaxed holiday. A nice mixture of people around and a good healthy atmosphere.
Michael
This was our third stay at this delightful property which in itself speaks volumes. Clean and comfortable it is situated in a beautfu,l tranquil area overlooking Pentney Lake. The owner Jeff called to check that everything was in order always a good sign. We would recommend this holiday let we are going to make another booking in the not too distant future.
Michael
This was our second visit to this warm, clean and comfortable property. It is located in a quiet and peaceful location. We met the owners Jeff and Sharon who are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We think it speaks volumes the fact that we are in the process of booking another visit in the near future.
Allison
We've just come back from a fantastic week at Penteny. Everything was extremely comfortable and it had everything you would need for the whole family. The shower is very powerful, beds are really comfortable and the towels were so fluffy. It's layout and location were amazing too. The space and privercy between the accommodation was wonderful. You can sit outside on the huge decking and look right onto the lake, it's a beautiful lake to walk around too. Our three young children loved playing outside and riding their bikes around. The area has so much to explore, and the site has a great pub with fabulous meals. This is an amazing place and would definitely stay again.
Catherine
We really enjoyed our 4 nights away at Pentney Lakes. The property was very well equipped for our needs with generous outdoor space and plenty of seating, ideal for sitting outside with a glass of wine after a day exploring. An ideal base for visiting local attractions. We travelled to Sandringham Estate, Hunstanton and went for a walk in West Bilney Wood which is just across from the main site entrance. The onsite clubhouse is really friendly with a great atmosphere and serves a variety of food, including a good range of gluten free items. We would definitely visit again.
Joseph
Only thing that we found is that a large saucepan would have been nice to cook pasta.
Another excellent stay. Peaceful setting with everything we needed. Good position for touring the area. We certainly hope to come again.
Christine
The lodge was well equipped and as described. There was everything that we needed for the stay. The beds were comfortable and it was ideal that they were made up and left ready for when we arrived. The full size fridgefreezer was a bonus.
Joselyn
Lovely holiday home, clean, warm & well equiped. A real bonus having a dishwasher too. Bed linen smelt lovely & clean, towels nice & fluffy. Great customer service from Jeff prior to the holiday. Would certainly recommend & hope to visit again. Thank you.
Michael
While we have visited the Pentney area previously this was our first stay in this particular property. Everything was as described in the listing. The lodge was warm, clean and spacious. The surrounding area was very quiet and the lodge overlooks the lake where we understand some otters have taken up residence. A number of earlier guests have commented in the visitors book that they will return, and we will definately do so. Thank you to the owners for a lovely break.
Michael
This well appointed holiday let was clean, tidy , as described and very comfortable. Setting was excellent and is in a good position for exploring this part of Norfolk. Owners are very friendly and helpful if needed.
Lovely place and perfect location especially if you are a skier. Very comfortable and well equipped. Would definitely recommend!
We had a nice break, and the property was exactly as described and spotless. It was quite remote and I was expecting perhaps a little more on the site itself, but that was a minor thing. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Very comfortable well equipped holiday home within easy driving distance of some ... Very comfortable well equipped holiday home within easy driving distance of some interesting places to visit Lovely peaceful location and welcoming hosts Look forwards to visiting again
Stunning, stunning place to stay and a stunning place to spend some quality time in.
Andrea
It is a quality property, well furnished and equipped, in an idyllic setting with views of the lake. It was sparkling clean and tidy for our arrival, and the owner Jeff was contact able by mobile phone when we had a little difficulty locating the key and connecting to the wifi. There is plenty to do in the area, whatever your interests. You need a car or a bike to access shops. Some of the pubs in Swaffham appear to stop serving food at 7.30 pm, but The George Inn has a varied menu with daily specials and continues service till 9 pm. We had a very relaxing stay, and our granddaughters took full advantage of the water skiing on and swimming in the lake.
The mobile home was nice but was dirty on arrival. Cobwebs in the kitchen with flies on it. In the main bedroom there still is a dead fly sitting on the blind of the left hand ceiling window. There were also dead flies on the floor near the tv. The place needs to be cleaned properly after someone leaves. My wife and I cleaned the cobwebs and hoovered the place properly before leaving as its not comforting for anyone to come see this. Plus the place needs a washing machine, after staying a week I had to wash all he kids clothing by hand and couldnt leave outside as the dirt and dust from car driving by made the clothes dirty again, clothes washed by hand takes forever to dry when inside the mobile home. The dishwasher is of no value if cleaning tablets arent provided. No mopbucket was provided so when any of the children dropped anything I had to use wipes to clean the floor. The childrens bedroom was far to tiny with two tiny single beds. The lights in the hallway wasnt working so had to use lamp from main room for children. The light switch in the main bedroom has been connected incorrectly, the light switches on when pressing up. The fire alarm didnt work when tested, so major concern. Theres also a whole near the top of the ceiling above sofa which I had to put tissue in as flies kept coming in.
Accommodation was better than anticipated and very clean. Excellent bed with good linen. Located overlooking the lake. Large decking area at the side and also on the front. Good shower and bedroom larger than had imagined with large wardrobe and skylights allowing air flow. Good fridge and kitchen accessories were good quality. The site is very natural and unspoilt and we slept really well as it was so quiet over night. Comfortable furnishings. Ideal for 2. Fishing was very good. Only downside is the road that runs through the site and directly in front of the vans. It is dust and not concrete. As such vehicles exceeding the speed limit and most did, resulted in large plumes of dust falling across the front decking and sometimes into the van, making it impossible to sit on the front and the spread of the dust did leave us feeling grubby and our clothes dirty. No washing machine which would help if staying longer. It was very hot when we stayed which probably exacerbated the issue but it was bad and you could only use the seating at the rear of the side decking if you wanted to sit out and dine or have a drink. The only other problem was we tried to put our rubbish into the green bin the owner had indicated, but were told when we did so, the bin was only for residents and not visitors. As such we had to leave the rubbish for the owner to dispose of. A bin nearer for the holiday bins would be a simple solution.

They so friendly . .. We request for bit late checkout they happy to do that ... We ask for some other stuff they delivered with in 5 minutes so happy good place to calm and enjoy .. we don't have enough days to see other ... We will visit one more thime ...
109 Pentney Lakes caravan was fab! Obviously it's small, but it was overall more spacious than we thought, and there's loads of outside decking which makes it even bigger, if the weather obliges. We sat outside to eat a couple of times, there's plenty of space. We also managed to park 3 cars, so that wasn't an issue either. The kitchen is well equipped its just like a small version of being at home, with everything you need, even a coffee machine. Welcome pack was also very generous thank you!, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. And nicely decorated too. Big fridgefreezer, plenty of room for the wine and snacks! The area is small for more than one adult to be preparing food, but that's fine. I guess if you have 6 people you may struggle to all sit at the kitchen table, but again, wasn't a problem for us. We used both bedrooms and the sofa bed too. The sofa bed was comfortable, and the lounge was great for chilling, with the patio doors open it was lovely. The bathroom was good too with a really nice shower. We go to Pentney so we can ski at Premier Water Ski with Greg and we loved staying in the caravan this time as it felt like a bit of luxury, a nice place to retreat to when we were tired and needed a cuppa, but still close to the lake so we didn't miss anything going on! One bit of advice if you're sleeping on the sofa bed, make sure you close the blind on the ceiling window in the kitchen otherwise you'll get woken up by a rogue sunbeam on your face! I could've got up to try and work out how to close the blind but at 5am I couldn't be bothered! Great caravan, loved it, we will definitely try and stay here again, if we can get it for a short break again.
