Simone
21 Florence is a great little cottage. It had everything we needed and more. The owner Lesley was on the end of the phone with any questions we had. It's close to the beach, and walking distance to a few pubs, and a local CoOp. We didn't use the car the whole week. Really dog friendly and we would definitely stay again. Only problem was the stairs were a bit steep but nothing can be done about that, just be aware. Definitely 10 out of 10 from us.
Lovely little cottage in a fantastic location with parking, kitchen well stocked with all the utensils you need, lovely courtyard and seating area,5 mins from sea and nice 20 min walk into Lowestoft, will be booking again next yr. .....had a fantastic hol.

Second time we have stayed at the cottage. Which says it all really. The cottage is in a fantastic location .. the beautiful beach and coast is just around the corner.. yards from the property. You can hear the ocean in the back garden. There are 4 pubs all 3 mins away walk and all do food. Pakefield also has a couple takeaways, a co op and few other shops .. and Lowestoft is a mile away 20 min walk along the coast with yr dog.. Pakefields is quiet and lovely coastal villagetown and dog friendly! Dogs on beach all year! The cottage is peaceful location.. spotlessly clean and modernised but kept all original features. Would burner. Great bed, shower and bath, lovely kitchen all u need if u do want to cook in. Back courtyard sunny seating etc and perfect if you have dog. Met the owner on a walk and shes lovely unobtrusive and helpful. We will definitely return without a doubt
Really beautiful place to stay, fantastic beach for the dog within 5 minutes walk, plenty of local hostilities to try, must recommend the ship for its outstanding staff and Sunday roast. Nice walk from the property to lowestoft town centre all the way along the seafront which is achievable by a mobility scooter. Property is excellent inside and out with everything you need for a perfect get away holiday

Consider more cutlery and crockery, especially as you have a dishwasher. Height of door frame to conservatory a problem for tall people. Configuration of bottom turning stairs and short handrail is a major disaster waiting to happen. On a positive note, great location, lovely courtyard garden, and some interesting furniture.
A lovely, cosy cottage for a couple and perfectly located in a quiet street only a few minutes walk from the beach. The property has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The owner is lovely and very helpful.
Michael
We loved the cottage, cosy and comfortable. The stairs were from a fairytale sooo steep, once you got used to them they were fine. They were stated in comments to be fair. I've been in touch with the owner and she is a lovely lady. Good position of cottage to beach head, lovely walks and plenty of pubs. Good choice for hols.
Cheryl
Perfect holiday cottage for the 2 of us. Very clean, with everything we could possibly need, and a welcome treat on arrival too! Warm and cosy, comfortable and quiet. Easy access to shops, pubs, takeaways and the beach. Host was charming when I called for key safe number, and shared information about local area in a friendly manner. I can't find a fault with this property and would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in the area. Thank you for having us xx
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very conveniently situated for beach, supermarket, pubs and takeaways for a stress free holiday. The cottage is quiet with a private courtyard to sit outside if the weather is kind. We visited lots of lovely places and it's on our short list of properties we would return to.

We had a lovely stay in Pakefield . The cottage is perfectly located for all amenities and it meant that we didnt have to get in the car for anything l The welcome from our host is very warm and communication was excellent. We would definitely stay again.
Catherine
Had an excellent short break, the cottage had a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. Would definitely use again.

Firstly, let me say that this is a nice quirkily furnished cottage adequately sized for two people. Its location is ideally placed for the pebble and sand beach and other places. It is surrounded by decent pubs and takeaways and there are supermarkets and larger outlets remarkably close by. The cottage itself has a large settee which is slightly sagging in places and an armchair along with a dining table and two chairs in the living room. The large TV is its best feature with access to several apps. The kitchen is well equipped but the timer on the oven is broken, and the microwave is extremely basic. Other than that, it is fine. There is a conservatory with another ding table and four chairs and a metal rocking chair. It leads into the small rear yard. Upstairs are the bedroom and bathroom. The bed is a standard double and we didnt find it very comfortable but mattress tensions are a matter of personal preference it just wasnt ideal for us. The bathroom is fine with lovely large bath and shower over. If you can get your leg high enough to get into the bath for a shower mind hour head on boxed section that the shower head is right up against. The steep stairs have been mentioned in several reviews and yes they are steep but what makes the precarious is the lack of a anything to hold onto on the bottom turn into the kitchen. Fortunately, I was there to catch my wife when slipped on the narrowstepped bend when descending. Having rented cottages all over the country for over 20 years what lets this one down is that it is stocked on a bare minimum basis. One single ply loo roll though I found half of another one in a cupboard. Two dishwasher tablets and around 3 or 4 washing machine pods. Two small pedal bin liners. Three logs were provided for the stove. One soft washing up pad. The welcome pack consisted of four cheap biscuits and the smallest carton of milk only. So then, Good if you eat out all the time and dont need to do much washing or dishwashing but only adequate if you do. It is far from bad but not good enough for us to return. It sounds harsh but we have lots to compare it to.

Ive just stayed for 3 weeks with my dog. It took just 3 minutes to get from the door to the beach for our morning walk. It was in a perfect location for exploring the surrounding areas. There were lovely walks for my dog from the door & places like Great Yarmouth were less than 30 minutes in the car. Shops etc were close by but the road itself was very quiet with little traffic. I would love to come back in the summer for another visit.
An amazing experience and a perfect position to the beach Cottage was ... An amazing experience and a perfect position to the beach Cottage was beautiful, everything was clean with all the appointed facilities and an absolutely wonderful atmosphere
Just had our 3rd visit to this lovely cottage and location. 5 minutes walk to the beach. The house is always spotlessly clean, warm and has everything you need for a great holiday.. we will be back again !!
Very steep stairs need another rail at turn at bottom we did not feel safe
Lauren
We had a lovely time. On arrival the house was lovely and clean with everything in place that you could need for a stay away from home. Comfortable bed and a nice sofa to relax on after a day walking on the beautiful beach which is just a few minutes away from the house. I would definitely like to come back in the future. The stairs were steep but we managed fine, and we're both pretty old!
Rachel
I had a wonderful week at the cottage. It is very homely and ideally located. My dog and I enjoyed early morning works on the beach each day the dog friendly beach is 5mins walk away. There are so many pubs in walking distance as well as a coop, fish and chip shop etc. We arrived via public transport and found getting around super easy with bus routes into Lowestoft or out to Southwold and Norwich via the stop at the end of the road. I know we will return.
Sheila
Our second visit to 21 Florence Road everything was as stated. Just the right cottage to relax and chill out in. Will definately be booking again
Michael

A very comfortable and well equipped house, only a few minutes walk from the beach, a good pub, the Oddfellows Arms, and the Coop.
Brenda
Another lovely stay at 21 Florence Road ! .. Perfect cottage for myself and Freddy my dog ... Everything is so convenient in the cottage and it is great to have parking outside the door !.. The walk to Pakefield beach is only minutes away and was so pretty when I was there with lupins and other flowers everywhere !
Felicity
This was a lovely place to stay. Much closer to the beach than I had realised which was a definite plus. My dog had a whale of a time! Very comfortable place to come back to after the hailstorms! The listing mentions the steep stairs, they really are steep especially on the bend where there is no handrail.
Joanna
Delightful character property, with quirky features and lovely vibrant decor. So nice to stay somewhere which is not a bland carbon copy of the latest fashion.
Terrific area, very close for beach walks. Ideal cycling area flat with interesting places to visit. Property had everything required and bed comfortable. Host very nice and helpful.
Florence Road has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is close to the beach with a nice walk to Lowestoft . Also nearby 5 mins. drive are supermarkets and several other stores. There are plenty of things to do within the area.
Trevor
Lovely little cottage would stay again
Sheila
This holiday cottage was exactly as described and we wouldnt hesitate to return there if were ever in Suffolk again. The actual area is so convenient wherever you want to visit and although it was Winter we did manage to do lots of walking as well. Very satisfied customers!!!!!
Just had our 2nd stay in this lovely cottage, and was really pleased we went back. The cottage is really well equipped and exceptionally clean, the drive has been improved which made it easier to get off. We will be booking again.
Whilst we have no problem with the cleanliness and facilities provided,I should like to point out that, thanks to a very awkward staircase, this property should not be recommended to elderly people or those with disabilities. Also the parking space at the front could do with a good prune.Apart from that the house was very well appointed.
21 Florence Road is a lovely cottage, it has plenty of space and is well equipped. It was great to have the advantage of a conservatory and a patio garden. The bed was very comfy and the monsoon shower was fantastic. It is less than a hundred yards from the seafront an was very convenient for walking my dog every morning. The only downside for me was having to bounce up the curb as my car has very low profile tyres and I felt this was a risk of damaging the wheels, so I think it would be helpful to have the curb lowered.Apart from that I would be happy to stay again.
Sheila
A beautiful comfy cottage cant wait to return one day
Tracey
Booked this holiday last minute. We couldnt of been happier. A lovely cottage in a great location. Everything was on your doorstep. Beautiful beaches and local amenities. Very peaceful and quiet, dog friendly and good parking. Owner very helpful and friendly. So glad I booked it.
Absolute gem of a cottage, right next to beach, close to 2 lovely pubs. Dog friendly foodie pubs, close to shops, takeaways etc. cottage clean and beautiful. Lovely little touches like leaving us a cake. Towels , linen all excellent. Cute cottage with lovely fittings etc.. everything u need for peaceful stay. Would highly recommend. We are definitely coming back when its sunny!
Yvonne
I enjoyed my second stay at Florence Road with my dog. The cottage is clean and comfortable with a lovely courtyard to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Its only a short walk to the dog friendly beach, coffee hut and local pub. The cottage is situated in a convenient location to local shops and attractions further afield. I can highly recommend a break at this lovely cottage.
Natasha
The cottage was as expected. We were a bit disappointed that the tv downstairs did not have iplayer & we couldnt get the dvd to work. Owner did offer to check, though we declined as used the sky record function. Kitchen had good facilities could easily cook a meal. The breakfast room & courtyard were very nice. The bed was comfortable & room quiet & dark. We had a comfortable week. Good location for exploring the area, near a bus stop. Good chip shop around the corner. Easy walking distance to beach. Lovely seafront walk to Lowestoft.
