30 Burtons Mill Reviews

Michele
Fabulous property that is super convenient for access to The Broads, local amenities and beaches. The property is well maintained and spotlessly clean, with a lovely welcome package if groceries from Sue. Paved back garden was ideal for our dogs, and with easy access off the drive we had chance to wash off any sand before entering the house. Stalham is only a 10 minute walk away with a large Tesco store and super local amenities including dog friendly pubs. Beautiful beaches are a short drive away. Would definitely recommend this property, and we have already booked for next year.
Extremely clean and very well equipped thank you. only thing could have done with an instruction booklet for washing machine
Lovely property and well situated for the broads. Would certainly recommend to others. Thank you for letting us stay there.
Ronald
Brilliant location, loved being able to walk into town and get to the broads. We were able to take advantage of the garden furniture in the sunny front garden. Enjoyed the beaches being on the doorstep.
Amanda
Lovely property, perfect for exploring the Norfolk Broads with Simpsons Boat Yard a stones throw away from where we hired a day boat and paddle boards. Also a very short walk away from Stalham high street and all the amenities and large Tesco. Norwich is easily reached by car taking us only 30 minutes to drive into the centre. Travelling in the opposite direction, the coast is within 1520 minutes by car from where we saw the seals on the beach and windmills. Very enjoyable holiday

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely holiday cottage. The property was spotless on arrival clearly well cared for and maintained to a high standard. It made a very comfortable and relaxing base for our break. The location couldnt have been better. Situated right next to the beautiful Norfolk Broads, it was perfect for peaceful walks, boat trips, and enjoying the surrounding nature. It was also ideally placed for visiting the many dogfriendly beaches in the area, which our fourlegged friend loved! Stalham, the local town, was a real highlight. Its friendly, welcoming, and has everything you could need from shops and cafes. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this cottage to others looking for a tranquil, welllocated getaway with plenty to do nearby.
Christine
We loved our stay at this property. It was very comfortable and exceptionally well equipped and clean. The location was ideal. Just a 5 minute walk into Stalham where we found everything we could want. I deal location for exploring this part on Norfolk and the Broads. We hope to stay again.

Just back from a lovely week at 30, Burtons Mill. Admittedly we were blessed with wall to wall sunshine during our stay which is cream on the cake for holiday makers staying in the uk but nonetheless wed still have no hesitation in recommending this property. We couldnt find the hairdryer on day 1 of our stay but a quick call to the lovely owner sue soon guided our path to locating it! Once again many thanks for our delightful stay!
Pamela
We had a wonderful stay at 30 Burton Mill, it ticked all our boxes & the owner couldnt have been kinder, she was so kind & helpful in every way. The house was spotless & there was a big supply of toilet & kitchen rolls & everything else we could need, which isnt the case in many places we have stayed over the years! Thank you again to the owner & her friends
Trevor
This was our 2nd consecutive booking that tells anybody all you need to know.
This is the Second Time we have used this property. We found it always clean and tidy. The Property is very spacious we are a family of 5. We find it very convenient for the coast and broads.
Maxine
Had such an amazing week at 30 Burtons Mill. The property is excellently maintained. We had a problem with the TV but after speaking with the owner who managed to get a chap out early the following day, all was well. Couldnt have asked for better service. Being able to sit on the front in the sunshine after a long day on the beach was an added bonus. We have stayed in this area previously and decided to return as its perfectly situated with being close to a friendly pub The Swan which serve good food and outside pods which can be reserved. Tesco is on the doorstep. Sea Palling is only a short drive away and our favourite beach with only a five minute walk from the car park short cut over the dunes from the furthest away car park and parking as far away from the entrance where youll find lots of vacated beautiful soft sand to play ball games and shallow waters if you fancy a swim as we did. The lady next door told us about a Groupon offer for Simpsons boatyard literally just around the corner which we took up. Roughly half price 2 hour electric boat hire. Of course fabulous weather can make or break your holiday but we had wall to wall sunshine every day!!!If I have one issue it is the road noise but other than that its top marks out of all the properties weve stayed in over the years in and around the area. Thank you.
We had a fantastic stay at burton mill. We were here for my dads 80th birthday and couldnt have picked a better house. Really clean and comfortable all facilities spot on. Just one suggestion if possible i would suggest putting a gate on the front as all the sun is there and would have been nice to just let the dogs roam around with us sitting in the sun. All in all best place we have stayed at.
A really good property that was accurately described and made for a great stay. While I wasn't sure how the table and chairs in the front garden would work out, we were pleasantly surprised to find its actually very discreet as the house is at the end Burton Mills with no passing foot traffic. Clever use of laurel means you get privacy without loss of sunshine. It was also our first time using Sykes for a holiday rental and everything went very smoothly from booking to arrival. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in the north east Norfolk area. Town has supermarket, butchers, cafe and pub and a very popular fish and chip takeaway queues on a Friday, so get there in plenty of time!. The back garden is largely in shade, but it proved a good place to store our bikes you might want to bring a padlock to make the back gate extra secure. The property does back on to the A149, but the traffic noise did not concern us unduly. Great location, smart, wellpresented home.
Jacqueline
This property was lovely exceptionally clean & very well equipped, The beds were very comfortable & the area is very quiet. The smart tv has lots of streaming services on it so you catch up on any tv I would highly recommend anyone to stay here,
Want to say a big thank you. Took Mum here as we lost Dad earlier this year. Everything we could have wished for.All the extras there, but we took all our own as we don't like to take advantage. House in a great location,we were very comfortable..would love to return. Clean, homely and has everything you could need. Dogs safe in back yard. So grateful..well done..keep up the good work
Great roomy property well presented exceptionally clean and near to lovely dog friendly pub the Swan and a big Tescos for all those essentials. We took our Greyhound and the yard was well fenced in and functional if maybe a little dull, but there is a table set up out front if you want a more pleasant view in the sunshine.. Our only negative really was no matches which when we had a powercut due to the storm, we couldn't light the gas cooker to boil some water! Wouid definitely recommend this place and may well be back ourselves as we had a great time.
Trevor
Very well presented and tastefully decorated. Excellent location within Stalham and Stalham itself makes a great base for exploring the Broads and the many quiet beaches plus the seaside towns.
This property is in a good location for exploring the Broads or the coast. It's within walking distance to the boat hire companies, Simpsons provide daily boat hire. The pubs and shops are within easy walking distance, The Swan Inn has a lovely varied menu and the food served is excellent. The property is well furnished and very comfortable and nicely decorated throughout. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The front of the house is a suntrap it has a nice patio set which lovely to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine, it is shielded by a well kept hedge. We only have two little 'gripes' the shower door in the ensuite could do with some slight adjustments as it's tricky to open. The downstairs toilet needs looking at regarding the smell from the drain. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property.
This property was perfect for us, very clean and tidy and the location was perfect, with the town only a 10mins walk away and Waxham beach about 15 mins away.
Very clean , well equipped and comfortable beds
The property was very clean and tidy and comfortable and well kept, and it was nice to have a welcome box. The Location was idea to explore the norfolk coast and broads.
This cottage is in a perfect location for exploring the area being only a 15 minute drive away from the beach at Sea Palling and within easy reach of places of interest both to the North and South and inland to the Norfolk Broads. Shops and pubs are just a short walk away in Stalham village and acces to boat hire companies for self drive trips onto the Broads are all very local. The cottage itself was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, dog friendly with a secure yard to the rear and benefitted from two bathrooms on the first floor, one of which is ensuite and a separate WC on the ground floor, which was all very convenient. The new owner, Sue, who is also new to holiday letting welcomed some very minor improvement suggestions we put to her and thanked us for bringing them to her attention. Always good to have owners who care about their guests. All in all a very pleasurable experience which I can thoroughly recommend.

It was a great home to stay. Everything you needed was provided. We will definitely be back.

The house is clean and tidy. It is ideal for people who like boating and water activities. Issues had to repair the on suite shower screen to use it on the first night. Had to refit the towel hanger, in a he toilet down stairs. The property backs to the main road, when you open the bedroom windows, a lot of traffic nose at night. Overall nice place to stay.
