Half Moon Cottage is a thatched retreat for two located just outside West Runton in Norfolk. This single-storey cottage sits on the fringes of the village with easy access to countryside and woodland. The property offers a romantic escape less than two miles from the coast.

The area provides excellent walking routes through ancient woodland and along coastal paths. West Runton beach is 1. 5 miles away. The surrounding Norfolk countryside offers peaceful lanes and nature reserves to explore.

Half Moon Cottage is delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The owner welcomed us in person with a gift of home made marmalade and the cottage was clean, comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed plus some very thoughtful extras such as milk and fruit juice in the fridge and fresh flowers on the windowsill.It was in an ideal location for exploring the wonderful North Norfolk coast

This cottage for two was very clean and tidy had everything you would need. In a very quite area with plenty of walks and the coast very near with more walks and lots of things to do.

Our stay at Half Moon Cottage was wonderful, in no small part due to the greeting we received on arrival and the attention to detail in the cottage. The Welcome Pack was unique. The strawberries were nearly as good as those from Kent (Only joking) and the Marmalade was a triumph. We appreciated the local information discovery packs and the eating suggestions. We found the setting very peaceful and hope to return in the near future. A most uplifting and rejuvenating experience that we would recommend to anyone thinking of heading to North Norfolk. There are 52 beaches to choose from and a whole raft of destinations to explore including Seal spotting.

On arrival the owners left little thoughtful touches that made us feel very at home. They were also very friendly and knowledgeable about the area where to visit etc! We really enjoyed our stay in Half Moon Cottage from 1st to 5th October 2024. The thing that struck us the most was the welcome, care and attention to detail. Itâ??s clear that the property owners want their guests to have a first class experience. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the appliances and fixtures and fittings were of a superior quality than some other places we have stayed in. The location is also very good. Set in beautiful woodland, most of the time, the only sound was that of the birds. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.

The fresh flowers from the garden in the bedroom and sitting room were a lovely touch too. Julie & Michael were on hand to greet us on arrival and to say goodbye when we left but they never imposed. Very close to Felbrigg and Blickling Halls and close to the sea between Sheringham and Cromer. Itâ??s quiet and peaceful and had everything we needed, warm and cosy. We would have liked to sit on the pretty patio but the week was so cold and windy. Many thanks to Michael and Julie. We really hope to return.
