Suzanne's Beach Hut Reviews

Hannah
Spent a lovely week once we got use to the uneven floor, but, considering I was recovering from 2 knee replacements in the last year, this was not really a major issue. Beds were clean and VERY comfortable. Excellent position for beach for the dogs .highly recommend and hope for return visit next year.
Just come back from a fantastic week at Suzanne's Beach Hut, Bacton. The accommodation was super there was everything we needed and more. A real home from home, from a fully equipped kitchen to warm throws for the sofas and comfortable beds. Three minute walk to the beach which the dogs loved and an enclosed garden. Yes there was building work behind but it didn't bother us at all. Will be booking again for next year. Sue & Alan October 2025

The chalet is stunning. So pretty and well decorated. Comfortable and big enough for 6 adults and 2 dogs who adored the beach! Shame about the uneven floor, but that's a major maintenance problem one winter, and it was disappointing there was no recycling on site. However we all had an amazing late summer holiday and can't wait to go back potentially rebooking the same chalet.

Firstly we appreciated the exceptional bedding and comfort of beds. The dog treats were a nice touch as was the games and toys provided. The kitchen was clean as was the hand basin and toilet. The shower and skirting in the bathroom was black and the toilet seat broken on arrival. The blind in one of the double rooms had partial slats missing. Paint work on doors was pretty grim in particular bathroom door. Essential areas had been cleaned but cobwebs and dust was evident . I am sure whoever cleaned the toilet must have realised it was broken. The uneven floors did upset one of our party who suffers from vertigo! That said Suzannes beach hut could be amazing with a little tlc. We really had a holiday of two halvesThe weekend was so peaceful and we spent time with our granddaughters enjoying the games provide and the beach. That all changed on Monday morning. The builders were working directly at the back of property . The noise was unacceptable and whilst we appreciate that this is out of your control , morally we could have been notified in February. Our granddaughter who has who has ASD went home with her dad on Tuesday morning leaving us with our other granddaughter and her mum. We all gave up on Thursday and came home a day early due the trauma this involved. We reached out to you and got directed to Sykes. We tried for three consecutive days to ring them to be directed to the website where we had already raised a complaint, which we were told would be answered within 30 days. Where is your duty of care ? Totally let down!

What a wonderful little find. Largest cabin on the site with our own fully enclosed back garden. Yes it was a bit tired in places and the floors were uneven but that all added to the charm. There is building work going on outside the back garden but it really never bothered us at all, we were up early exploring the area so it really didn't impact us. It was clean, comfortable and large enough for the family with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. This was a very special break away after my sister had a devastating diagnosis so we crammed in as many memories as possible. We would absolutely book it again.
Judith
Wouldnt of booked if we knew there is construction going on from 7. 30 till 4.30 Monday to Friday and I think it will be like that for a couple of years as they are building a load of houses. The chalet shook with the diggers and you couldnt sit in the garden. Ruined the relaxing holiday. Moved some of the rugs and there was sand under them so had to hoover.
The accommodation was very spacious and fairly well equipped. The beds that we used just the doubles were comfortable and we slept well, however, the building work behind the back garden woke us early each morning during the week Mon Fri. The chalet site was very peaceful, apart from the said building work beyond the chalet site. The heaters were great and warmed up very quickly on the chilly evenings. The shower was lovely and warm and there was a heater in the bathroom to warm the room if showering when its chilly. There were supplies for the dogs too and the enclosed back garden was lovely for them to be able to go out and sniff about when they wanted to without having to be put on their leads. We loved taking the dogs to the beach which was only minutes away and its a beautiful quiet and clean beach. The only issue we had was the very uneven flooring which was an issue at times and could be problematic for people with balance or mobility issues. The local fish and chip shop and Chinese take away have great food.
The property was lovely and went above and beyond what we expected with the little touches of the dog cupboard and various household items that were left such as tin foil, coffee, tea etc. Beds were very comfortable. The only downside was the outside space. As the weather was lovely we could have sat outside in the garden but the seating was very dirty and the garden a little unkempt. If the grass had been mowed and bushes cut back it would have been lovely to sit outside in the sun to read a book. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wanted to visit Norfolk
Beverley
We had a lovely comfortable stay at Suzannes hut, all human and dog ... We had a lovely comfortable stay at Suzannes hut, all human and dog necessities were catered for, nice and close to the dog friendly beach, Dishwasher was a real added bonus, beds were comfy, everywhere was clean and loved the beachseaside decor, highly recommended and would have no hesitation in booking again
Loved everything about it, thought of it all. TV could be slightly bigger and remote batteries checked as really slow changing over or volume updown Games room lovely addition Location perfect
Kathryn
Lovely chalet and perfect for beach stay. Beach is super close and accessed through back of chalet park no more than 5 mins away. Chalets are quite close together but not a problem everyone is super friendly. Really comfortable stay and Suzanne has done a great job with decor and beds etc only small and I do mean super small observation is that the cream sofa smells a lot of dog which transferred to clothes so used a throw to cover it up. Fridgefreezer still had food from previous people and the shower was sandy however these we quickly fixed. Couple of hints for next guests is when you get to the chalet park turn right into the estate the numbers are not in order and Suzannes beach hut numbers are rubbed away. Also, be very careful on steps outside they are not very wide and are made of decking but are fine to use. Overall thank you so much Suzanne great base for a fabulous holiday!

My family and I have recently spent 4 nights at Suzannes beach hut which we really enjoyed because of the lovely place Bacton gorgeous beach is a stones throw away and a park for the grandchildren and The Poachers Pocket Pub is a lovely walk along the beach. ...this being said the cleanliness of Suzannes Beach Hut was not so good, cobwebs on curtain rails, cobwebs behind bathroom bin which obviously hadn't been moved in a while, old food from previous holidaymakers left in freezer and in bottom of dishwasher. I had to wipe the fridge out before I could put my food in it and inside the kettle was disgusting with heavily built up limescale....we had babies bottles to make and as I couldn't buy a new kettle I went to the shop and bought descaler and did it 3 times before I could use it. There was also dog poo in the garden from the previous dog owners too so as you can imagine we wer not impressed at all. When your paying over 500 for a four night stay you do not expect to have to clean things yourself when you get there.
Lovely accommodation everything you need easy access to beach ,very comfy beds and was spotless
Hi Suzanne We had a fantastic 5 night stay. Lovely place us and the dogs enjoyed it thoroughly. Nice short walk to the beach and convenience store on the doorstep. Everything we needed and very comfortable. THE ONLY negative thing if we were being totally honest is the rear garden grass desperately needed cutting and thorn bushes need trimming back. We had to pick thorns out of our dogs paw and fur. We have already rebooked to come back in Sept and would be nice if the garden was tidier. Privacy great and secure garden for the pooches love Lisa, Brian, Vinnie & Lexie the Voycey's xx
We had a beautiful stay. Only thing that would have made it perfect was if the grass had been cut so we could have sat outside. But we loved it apart from that. Would highly recommend to anyone and will def be back. The beds were the so comfortable Thank you
Philip
Great beach hut, especially for dog owners. Everything you need, very quiet and in a secluded part of the park so very private. Perfect area to explore North Norfolk and beyond. All at a very reasonable price. We'll definitely be booking again. Thanks Suzanne , Phil, Samantha and the dogs Cybil & Aggie
Christopher
Great location , comfy beds , perfect doggy holiday .
Stephen
Lovely place next to beach unfortunately not much in village nice walks beach etc but no pub for miles
We thoroughly enjoyed our short break in Suzanne's beach hut. Very spacious accommodation, with everything we needed in place. A nice area for a short getaway, very peaceful with the beach a few minutes walk away. We were looking for somewhere not too touristy where we could take our dog, Suzanne's beach hut fitted that perfectly. Chester, our rescue dog, had the best time ever, loved his time on the beach. Nice that there is an area on the beach where dogs are allowed throughout the season. There's a shop, and several takeaways close to the site and a laundromat on the forecourt of the shop at the edge of the site. The site is very clean and well maintained. Couldn't fault our chalet and were already looking at dates to return either later this year or next summer.
We really enjoyed our stay in Suzanne's Beach Hut. It is spacious and comfortable, with everything that you need. It is really quiet so we all slept well. We loved the games room too!
