The Meadows Cottage Reviews

Alexis
This was our second stay here and it was simply perfect. We stayed for Christmas and the cottage had everything we needed to make it a wonderfully magical stay. The kitchen has everything you need and we made a Christmas dinner in there with no issues at all. The owners are an absolute delight, checking you've arrived safely and wishing you safe travels home, as well as leaving a lovely welcome pack for when you arrive. We will definitely be returning in 2026!
Carole
Very comfortable, we have booked again for next year.
The cottage is really well equipped, very clean and a lovely welcome pack. Very relaxing holiday and perfect for my sisters disability and mobility issues
Melvin
This was the best equipped holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. It was also very peaceful and secluded. We were able to visit several stately homes, the sea side at Wells and a local music festival. It was also an excellent base for a number of bicycle rides and walks.
Graham
The cottage was clean , very comfortable & spaceous, a very nice welcome pack including the biscuits for the dogs, good size garden for the dogs to play in. Good to meet up with the owner & have a chat.
The property was excellent, the personal touches from the owners really made us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend, very peaceful and relaxing stay.
Sandra
Great stay, chilled and relaxing. Ideally situated to explore the coast and broads. Think it's the best equipped cottage weve ever stayed in. The welcome pack went down well after a long drive. Only negative was the access drive needs a few holes filling, but that's being very picky.
Alexis
A wonderful property in a great location. Very cosy and the owners are brilliant. They assisted us with some difficulties we had during our stay and left us some very wonderful welcome goodies on our arrival. We couldn't have asked for a better property and we've already booked our return stay!
Kerrie
Very homely cottage with everything we needed for a lovely relaxing week. Lots of places to visit within a short drive and the cottage itself is in a peaceful location, surrounded by countryside. The enclosed garden was also great for our dog to be able to go out safely. Owners on hand if we had needed anything. We had a great week and are likely to return. Thank you.
Christine
Such a beautifully clean & well appointed cottage. Everything you needed for a holiday stay was catered for with an added bonus of a welcome pack on arrival which was so thoughtful. A great comfortable, cosy & quiet place to holiday, surrounded by lovely views across the countryside. We had a such a wonderful holiday & would definitely return.
Beautiful property, ideally placed for access to the whole of Norfolk.
The cottage was perfect for us as my husband has mobility issues. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable.
The cottage was as shown on the booking form, my wife is a wheelchair user, it was very easy to wheel her about the cottage, wet room made washing her easy, we were very comfortable, owner came over to welcome us,welcome cake and biscuits were great, throughly enjoyed our stay, owner came to see us before we left to wish us a safe journey home, that was the icing on the cake.
Fantastic holiday cottage, we had a great time exploring Norfolk and it was great to come back to The Meadows Cottage after a day out and to be able to relax in the evenings. Great that they allow dogs and the garden is completely secure even for my escapee!

The bungalow was exactly as describe. The rooms were large and all the beds were extreeeemly comfortable. The cake and biscuits were great and made for a treat upon arrival. The owners were very friendly when we arrived make sure you check out all the artwork in the building as most was done by the owner and is really really good. The dogs loved the garden as it was very safe and large enough for them to run around. It is located with in easy reach of lots of attractions if that is your thing or if you are in to walking there are great places to get to. All in all we had a very very pleasant holiday.
We were very pleased with the bungalow which was very spacious and comfortable and very good for wheelchair user. We would book again.

A comfortable and well equipped home from home. Wonderful enclosed garden for the dog, walks direct from the door.
Carole
We had a lovely relaxing week at The Meadows Cottage, the only noise you hear is the birds singing! The property was perfect for our needs plenty of space, wellequipped and a large secure garden for our dog. The owners were very friendly and keen to ensure that we had everything we needed, the welcome cake and biscuits were very much appreciated.
We arrived late and tired in the wettest most dismal week of the year to a wonderfully warm and welcoming cottage. Tea tray laid out ready with cake and biscuits for us and for the dogs, heating on in every room and the log fire stacked ready to light. Meadows Cottage is both spacious and cosy, comfortable and well equipped and truly wheelchair accessible, except for the kitchen which was a relief as I needed a break from kitchen duties. The garden is self contained so we could let the dogs out freely. The hosts are generous, kind and helpful without being intrusive. Half an hour's drive will get you to most of the costal walks and the local Garden Centre do a great full English breakfast if you need a morning treat. We will return.
Amanda

Christine
A lovely, clean and comfortable cottage which was very suitable for someone with physical disabilities. The hosts were extremely helpful, too.
We had a lovely warm welcome and a lovely stay. The cottage is very well equipped in a very quiet and lovely setting. We hope we will be able to revisit and enjoy this wonderful cottage again.
Lovely cottage has tile flooring which can be cold, the heaters were very good and warmed the place quickly. Wheelchair access was good but some of the angles were a little tight,so please give consideration when holidaying here.kitchen was my favourite room very cosy. Easy access to the garden. The owner was very friendly and helpful, easly driveable to location's. Definitely want to go back in the summer.
Patricia
We all had a lovely holiday, the cottage was in a quiet place but close enough to visit the coast and attractions, or just have quiet days indoors. The cottage had all we needed, was big and spacious, the owners came to greet us when we arrived lovely people and were on hand to answer any questions, in the property they had left us a few necessities, milk, coffee, tea and also a gift of cookies and cake, much appreciate. Will definitely be going back
Doreen
It was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. My two little dogs loved the garden which was very secure. Patio a real sun trap in the afternoon. Hope to return.
The property was very well maintained and equipped. It had a cosy charm and was situated in a tranquil edge of village location. One of our party had mobility issues and the cottage was perfectly adapted for her wheelchair. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Just a note to say that a maximum of 2 cars can easily park on the drive.
Beautiful cottage kept to a very high standard in a wonderful setting. The owners are very welcoming and on hand should you need any assistance. Great location for exploring north Norfolk. We are already planning a return visit next year.
The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The owners were very welcoming without being obtrusive. I would definitely recommend this cottage it deserves a five star rating.
Very well situated cottage, well presented by the friendly owners. Extremely quiet but still close to many good pubs, restaurants and attractions.
Lovely cottage with great facilities, and everything you could possibly need, comfortable beds! Remote peaceful location great for exploring the area's around Norfolk. Garden was totally secure even for my 4kg Pomchi! . Owners where helpful and very friendly they didn't intrude at all but where avaliable if you had any problems or questions.
This cottage is almost perfect very well equipped, comfortable and with a fully enclosed private garden. Its off the beaten track, and the only sounds youll hear are bird songs and the hammering of woodpeckers. Our party included a wheelchair user and a dog. Theres plenty of space the large master bedroom, wet room and wide doors make it totally accessible. Its within easy driving distance of numerous attractions, including Walsingham, Cromer, Wells and Holkham. We would very happily come back, and wouldnt hesitate to recommend The Meadows Cottage. The only thing that stops it being totally perfect is the chilly bathroom! Probably not a problem in the warmer months, though.
Elizabeth
Lovely comfortable bungalow situated in a quiet lane. Friendly but unintrusive owners . Liz
Really wonderful accommodation, near many towns and villages which are worth visiting. Hosts were awesome, accommodation was immaculate.
Angela
We had a great time in the cottage. It is in a fabulous area with lots of walks with our dogs. The beds were very comfy the towels and all the little extras we fabulous. The only negatives were the shower as the floor was very mouldy and not nice. All the other parts of the bathroom were fine. The other problem was the fire was very smoky. We respected the property and we never left then alone. We would definitely be back if we visit our son in Norwich.
Justin
A perfect place to stay for a relaxing break , with everything you could possibly need.
Lovely stay as usual. Very comfortable, every thing you could need provided. Made very welcome. Eala & Rico adore the secure garden. So nice to curl up in front of the log fire on a cold November evening. Perfect holiday, will be back next year. Thank you.
A lovely homely spacious and well equipped cottage with easy access to all facilities for the 90 year old mobility challenged member of our family. We valued our hosts personal welcome and the willingness to make our stay enjoyable.
Hilary
They had an award back in 2017 and I can see that its well deserved. We always do quite a lot of cooking and the hob of the oven has lost most of its switch markings. I and many others have probably turned the dial clockwise thinking its low heat and found it the hottest setting. The settings are in fact anti clockwise. Hence the Prestige pans have been heated very high and have concave bases. They only touch at the edges and take ages to warm up. Suggest a note re hob settings are clearly apparent to everyone. The instructions were printed and in a drawer next to the cooker This is the only comment I have picked up on and its trivial in the scheme of things. Has been discussed with the owners The owners on site are really lovely people and a pleasure to associate with. In conclusion we found the holiday home one of the best we have stayed in to date. Peter White
The property was very nice. Just needed a little more cleaning eg under sofas beds and lots of cobwebs around ceilings. Shower poor with low water pressure.
