A Cottage of contrasts. On the positive side it was very well equipped and the standard of fitments is very high. The bed is the best we have ever come across, super spacious and comfy. On the negative, the cottage is extremely close to a quite busy rural cross roads which isn't in the description or photos. The bedroom window is literally about 20 foot from the road so we couldn't have the window open for the noise and also the flies. Overall we did enjoy our visit to Norfolk. The cottage is very spacious and comfortable, but with these negatives it is not a cottage we would ever return to. It probably doesn't matter anyway as there was a planning application notice outside the cottage for a change from a holiday let to a normal dwelling.

A really nicely renovated cottage. It all felt new in terms of furniture and amenities and the hamper for us and our dog was a lovely touch. The location was great, 30 mins from Happisburgh and Cromer The only thing I would change would be the gaps in the gate, it might be a problem for guests with smaller dogs. That is honestly the only thing I could think of but it wasn't an issue with our dog. Loved it and would 100% recommend to our friends and family!

The bed was extremely comfortable and supportive, first holiday cottage I've not come back with back issues. There's a lovely dog walk through the woods 2 minutes away. The local pub is closed, however we tried The Goat Inn (4 miles away) which was good and also dog friendly. We had a great time exploring the surrounding area and plan to come back

From the minute you stepped through the door you felt welcomed. It was lovely and warm, spotlessly clean and had not one, but too hampers that were bursting at the seams, our dog was very happy with his hamper. When it says â??Dogs welcomeâ?? they really do mean it. There were so many little extras that we have not experienced before. The Old Forge is a touch of luxury in a beautiful area with lovely walks on the doorstep. The only downside is the fact that when we looked to re-book it is pretty much full for the whole year ahead!

I think it had to be the best property we have ever rented. The location was peaceful and I really enjoyed having my breakfast and an early evening drink on the decking overlooking the pond and cottage garden. The interior was beautiful and really stylish and comfortable. The property was equipped with everything we needed and the card, wine and hamper was generous and much appreciated. The old forge is to a very high standard, nice and warm heating system, very comfortable bed and plenty of seating. situated in a quiet and rural area but only a short drive to Cromer, Sheringham etc. on average a 30 min drive. Although no pubs or places to get a meal in the village there is places within 15 mins of the cottage.

We found the cottage easily using the directions given and immediately loved it on entering. There is so much space and very comfortable with a huge TV! There was everything that we needed - and more - especially in the kitchen and the welcome pack was very gratefully received. The wireless phone chargers in the bedroom are a nice touch and the bed was very big and very comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights but would have loved to stay longer as it is a perfect base for all the area has to offer - walks/beaches/market towns/lovely pubs (take a trip out the Gunton Arms if you can - lovely location and excellent food). All in all a fantastic long weekend in North Norfolk in a fantastic cottage.
