The Railway Carriage Reviews

Catherine
Absolutely lovely Railway Carriage, very quirky. It was clean , cosy and very well equipped. The paddock in which it was set was great for the two dogs to run around in . Owner very friendly and helpful. Setting is extremely peaceful but so close to many great places to visit. Highly recommend
Steve

Martyn

Peter
Due to the extreme lack of cleanliness I would not be able to recommend staying here and I certainly will not be returning.
Sonner
We had a fantastic relaxing trip away, beautiful setting watching stars and wildlife, plus lots of history in towns nearby.
Catriona
The carriage was an absolute delight! We loved the period details and it was clean and comfortable. The surroundings were also beautiful and peaceful, with lovely walks from the door, a wood and paddock, which our dogs loved playing it. We hope to return sometime soon.
John
Absolutely stunning location Chris the owner could not do enough for us
Lisa
Cannot recommend this more highly, the most idyllic of settings and the carriage was just perfect with old fashioned charm and original features. Our stay was perfect, so much so weâ??ve booked for next year. Chris the owner was extremely helpful and available if needed. If looking for a takeaway, we strongly recommend the local Indian restaurant!
Teresa
Everywhere was spotless even had a box of biscuits tea and milk supplied and flowers I would definitely stay there again
Rachel
The Railway Carriage was brilliant and great location for seeing Norfolk 5*
Kim
Comfortable, relaxing. Great setting. Maybe garden sofa or bench , cosy seating definitely recommend.
Sharon
Lovely location ,very peaceful and pretty. Nice walks. But itâ??s not a secure site at all as dogs can get out and others peoples can get in under the fences. Beds lovely, fresh and comfy, shower nice and plenty of hot water .
Tina
The Railway Carriage is a great place to stay, loved all the fittings in keeping with its original use. We especially liked the art deco light fittings. It was comfortable inside with everything we needed for our stay. Very peaceful location with lots of wildlife to spot. The dogs really enjoyed the huge enclosed paddock to run around in (note small dogs might need to be watched as they would get out under the fence bars). Also fabulous that there are off lead walks directly from the gate. Lots to do nearby, including sandy beaches that allow dogs all year which are just a short drive away. Added to our list of places to return to.
John
I think that it should mention somewhere that if you are taking dogs there may be gunshots heard on a regular basis that may upset them if they are sensitive to that noise. Lovely accommodation and area but we had to leave after 2 nights (we booked for a whole week) because of the stress the gunfire was causing our dog-there were no set times as it happened about 6am and then throughout the day up to late evening. Had it mentioned this somewhere on the accommodation details we wouldnâ??t have booked it.
Rita
Lovely experience of staying in a genuine old railway carriage converted with lots of home comforts. Great location with lots of walks. Would highly recommend this for anyone wanting a more quirky experience. A*
Kim
