Romulus Reviews

Beverley
A fabulous cottage for a relaxing stay. The underfloor heating in the kitchen and lounge was a wonderful treat under foot. We enjoyed watching the donkeys in the field and the wildlife. The location was great for enjoying the nearby villages and the city of Norwich. On arrival to the cottage we were grateful to receive a gift box of jam, fresh laid eggs, chocolate biscuits an a tasty fruit cake a very nice touch. We very much hope to return again one day and highly recommend the cottage.
Peter
A beautiful cottage, thoughtfully designed, and wonderfully equipped.
Colin
The cottage was warm, quiet and comfortable. For the two of us, there was more than enough equipment. The owners were great and it was nice to have a chat with them.
John
Lovely property. All that was required for a comfortable stay. Nice welcome pack. It was ideal for what we wantedâ?¦a relaxing week away from the rat race.
Julie
Set on farmland, there are donkeys in the field and dogs that come to say hello, with the odd guinea fowl running around. double patio doors mean get plenty of fresh air and there's a patio area to sit out and relax or have a meal. If you are going to self cater, the kitchen work area is a little small in Romulus, but otherwise the cottage as a whole is very spacious and comfortable. There is a generous welcome pack and the owners are very welcoming and friendly.
Lynnette
Very comfortable cottage, lovely location, friendly owner. Would stay again.
Linda
What a wonderful cottage Romulus is. Everything has been provided for a very comfortable stay. The inside is warm and inviting with many personal touches and as for the view, the word is STUNNING. Really lovely to have met the dogs, donkeys and to see the Egyptian geese with young. Would we recommend the cottage ?? ABSOLUTLY. Would we like to come back ?? YES PLEASE.
Allan
Wonderful place in a beautiful setting. It was lovely and warm and cosy. Fabulous views of classical English countryside. So relaxing. Durley and Rachel were absolutely delightfully.......and generous, with the welcome food box that greeted us when we arrived.
Peter

A really comfortable, cozy cottage in a great location. Owners were attentive but not obtrusive. Lovely to meet the dogs and donkeys. Will certainly return for 2025.

A lovely peaceful and tranquil location to relax and enjoy. With roaming donkeys, deer and a variety of birds to enjoy. A nice welcoming gift, from the owners, of a bottle of wine, fresh eggs etc. A nice touch.

Lovely location, lovely cottage, beautiful wildlife but a little remote. Welcome and hospitality great, nice touch of wine, biscuits, milk and cake on arrival.
Paul
We had a wonderful, relaxing week at Romulus. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable while still giving us plenty of privacy. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind, this place is perfect. Its central location also makes it a great base for exploring Norfolk. The cottage is set on a working farm, which adds to the charm, and the garden is beautifully maintained. Weâ??re already looking forward to our next visit!
Muriel
Lovely cottage with amazing rural views .It has everything you need for a home from home .The owners have thought of everything to make this cottage perfect .Although the weather wasn't too kind ,there was plenty of books, puzzles and dvds to pass the time .Brilliant location to unwind and appreciate nature
Linda
Beautiful cottage in idyllic surroundings, clean, comfortable and equipped with everything needed for a wonderful holiday. Would definitely recommend.
Richard
Nicely placed cottage with access to local pub and visiting the area. An excellent welcome pack was provided including fresh eggs from the farm hens. It is spacious for two people with a lovely patio area and garden with views over the fields. There were a few elements we were not satisfied with, however if they are rectified by the owners this will be a perfect country retreat.
Julie
The cottage was a in a perfect setting and we enjoyed our stay, very homely and comfortable. The welcome pack was very good.
Robert
Lovely cosy cottage for two, great hosts and the welcome basket was a nice touch
Gillian
The property itself was perfect; we have, on other occasions, paid more and been disappointed - not this time ! Please thank the owners for the wine and other treats they provided for us, the eggs were the best we've ever tasted, thank you so very much. We had a very much needed Christmas break.
