The Aldborough Reviews

Mark
Good location, great enclosed garden for dogs, lovely large warm pool.
Denise
Well equipped, warm, clean cottage in wonderful location. Enjoyed time in pool.
Barry
Excellent property, well equipped, ideally situated to many of local attractionsâ?¦
Pauline
Can really recommend this place for both dog owners and non dog owners. It was quiet, clean, spacious and comfortable. But one of the outstanding features was the pool. OMG it was soooo good. An hour that you could book to have it all to yourselves was just heaven. Plus, and itâ??s a big one, this was a â??dog friendlyâ?? place that actually didnâ??t have a rule about not leaving your dog alone in the house when occasionally, such as a meal out in the warm weather, what are you supposed to do with your dog? We had an amazing time and will go back again.
Margaret
We loved our holiday here so much that we have booked again for next June. The accommodation is lovely with everything that you could need. And WOW the pool. - fantastic, we enjoyed it so much.
John
Great location and pool. Cottage would benefit from some upkeep/maintenance as tired in places in order to promote value for money compared to other options in the area.
Kate
A nice cottage in a lovely location. However, the system for booking the (excellent) swimming pool is very frustrating and unfair - we either had to miss out or come back during the middle of the day. Advertised as a pool with capacity for 24 people, the daily one-slot per cottage system meant there were often only 3 people in at a time, whilst others missed out. Early morning/evening slots were taken immediately and there was no system of ensuring each cottage had the opportunity to book these.
Cara
The property was fantastic, lovely size and layout and the kitchen was so well equipped with all the essentials plus some wonderful extras like a local cake and fresh milk in the fridge. Location-wise this was perfect for us, nice and quiet but an easy 5 min drive to the sea front in Cromer. The absolute best thing about this place though is the pool, a perfect size, lovely and clean and amazingly warm, then add on top the fact that you get private sessions just for your cottage - fantastic! This made the holiday for us!
Jason
A nice area but you have to drive everywhere no footpaths to even walk dogs improvements are desperately needed
Sally
Lovely cottage. Perfect location for seeing north Norfolk. Comfortable and well equipped. The indoor pool was amazing.
Les
The cottage is great, well equipped and comfortable. The use of the superb pool is a massive bonus.
Maximilian
We had a great week staying at the Aldborough. The cottage is cosy but well equipped, warm and very well located.
Donna
Brilliant cottage, had everything we needed, location was great! We loved the swimming pool and went in everyday! We will definitely be returning.
Jason
A lovely stay great fully enclosed garden great for our two small dogs
Carlton
Accommodation met our needs, we were a party of 3 adults, 1child & a dog. Location is perfect to access all the tourist attractions and beautiful beaches - only a 5 minute drive to get to Cromer Seafront. Swimming pool was excellent, a wonderful opportunity to have a large pool to yourselves and no issues with booking time slots.
Donna
Well kept property, one half of a small barn conversion. Opened close to a country road so maybe not suitable for unsupervised children. But has a practical enclosed back garden half laid to lawn, very useful. Shared use of a heated pool with a rota sheet for private time slots which was a good idea. Pool has no shallow end if you need one! Had a lovely cake & biscuits for our arrival and some fresh milk in the fridge. There was also teabags & instant coffee provided but we had brought our own. TV & games too. Other similar properties in the enclosure but very quiet not busy. Easy efficient check in and departure & excellent directions supplied.
